As I transition from artist to foundation CEO, art takes on a profound new role—it becomes a beacon of hope for peace. This year, our foundation focuses on three vital missions.
Firstly, we're organizing a Charity Gala in New York to gather artists passionate about peace in Ukraine. Secondly, we're donating a garbage truck to support Ukraine's recycling efforts. Lastly, we're fundraising for our next major art project, the "Peace Bell", symbolizing peace through recycling 5-6 tons of missile debris.
Our journey spans continents, uniting hearts from the US to Japan, Europe, Ukraine, and Taiwan. With unwavering passion and boundless optimism, I embrace every challenge with joy.
On February 24, 2022, Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine shocked the world. Artist Lin Shih-Pao decided to take action, riding a horse and using his pen as a substitute for the sword. Since the first day of the conflict, he has painted a daily prayer for peace.
Thomas Chen, Chairman of Crystal Window in New York, witnessed Lin's unwavering dedication and supported him to establish a foundation. In 2023, Lin established the Shield Art Foundation to support disaster area reconstruction through humanitarian art creation, paving a path towards peace.
Born in Taiwan in 1962, Lin Shih-Pao has spent nearly 40 years living in the United States and Japan. Recognized by the United Nations as an "Outstanding Artist," he has received over 20 international art awards. For the past thirty years, Lin has consistently centered his artistic themes on peace, love, and hope, initiating various projects to unite people in the pursuit of peace.
